From the spirit of the Buddha,
We are encouraged to love without expecting in return.

From the mouth of Jesus-Christ,
We are taught to love our neighbor like ourselves.

Preachers preach,
Poets speak,
All the world's rhythms are created about love.

Yet, it's not overflowing.

We still need to
Write
Speak
Shout
Stand
Pray
Beg
Feel to make love grow in our hearts.

Without love, there is
A hunger,
A void,
A desperation,
A disappointment in the meaning of it all.

It has stood the test of time.
Ghandi,
Mandela,
Martin Luther King Jr,
John Lennon,

Generations of men,
Giving their bread,
Offering their blood,
Sacrificing their lives, and
Hoping to grow more love.

It is still scarce.
